Overview

Scoop Route ("we", "us", "our") provides catering dispatch and booking management software for catering businesses and their clients. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

For catering businesses (tenants):

  • Business name, email address, phone number
  • Employee names and contact information
  • Business location and operational settings
  • Booking and event data

For clients booking catering services:

  • Name, email address, phone number
  • Event details (date, location, guest count)
  • Payment status (we do not store payment card details)

Automatically collected:

  • Usage data and analytics
  • IP addresses and browser information

How We Use Your Information

  • To facilitate bookings between clients and catering businesses
  • To send booking confirmations, quotes, and reminders
  • To enable catering businesses to manage their operations
  • To improve our platform

Third-Party Integrations

QuickBooks Online

When a catering business connects their QuickBooks account to Scoop Route:

  • We access QuickBooks only to create invoices and track payment status on behalf of the catering business
  • We do not store QuickBooks credentials — access is managed through OAuth 2.0
  • QuickBooks data is used solely to sync invoices and payments for that specific business
  • We do not share QuickBooks data with any third parties
  • Catering businesses can disconnect QuickBooks at any time from their settings

Google Maps

We use Google Maps to geocode addresses and calculate travel times for dispatch planning.

SendGrid

We use SendGrid to send transactional emails (booking confirmations, quotes, invoices, reminders).

Stripe

We use Stripe for processing online payments where applicable. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never stored by Scoop Route.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • The catering business you are booking with
  • Service providers necessary to operate our platform (listed above)
  • Law enforcement when required by law

Data Retention

  • Client booking data is retained for 3 years after the event date
  • Business account data is retained while the account is active and for 1 year after closure
  • You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at privacy@scooproute.app

Security

We use industry-standard security measures including:

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Encrypted database storage
  • OAuth 2.0 for third-party integrations
  • Regular security reviews

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Opt out of marketing communications
